Compared with the wood, it is not resistant to high temperature. It will soften when encounter heat, so the gap between joists must be calculated in some tropical areas where our products are used. Besides, although the flame-retardant properties is a little higher than other woods, due to plastic molecules it contains, once burnt, it will release some toxic substances. Finally, the texture of WPC materials is hard and brittle, it is easy to hit a hole if a sharp object hits the floor. So it’s better to use solid deckings in some public places. |
